Nordin Named Mercy Health Athlete of the Month

Each month UNOH will be teaming up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt from Cappy's Sportswear and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.

The inagural Mercy Health Athlete of the Month has been awarded to Ebba Nordin of the women's golf team for her outstanding performance through the month of September. While being an example of excellence off the links, Nordin also won the first and second individual titles of her career in the first two events of the fall. She opened the fall at the prestigous Players Club Invitational carding a 70 and 75 for a 1-over 145 for the tournament. Nordin finished in a tie for first place in the field of 66 and went on to win the individual medal on the second playoff hole. Three weeks later, Nordin repeated as individual champion at the Blue Raider Classic. This time she stood alone on top of a 32-player field with a 225 (+9) after shooting 74, 73, 78.
