Bio

Sam started working for Mercy Health – St. Rita’s medical center in 2020 and has been certified since 2018. She has been providing coverage for the University of Northwestern Ohio since 2020 where she covers Baseball and Men’s Soccer.

Righley is originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 2014. From there she went to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where she earned her bachelor of science in Athletic Training, graduating in 2018. While at Kent State, Sam was part of the athletic training program as well as a student desk receptionist in the housing department. After graduating, Sam became a certified athletic trainer and moved to Chadron, Nebraska to be an athletic training graduate assistant at Chadron State College. While there she earned her Master’s in Sport Administration, while covering football, women’s basketball, and softball.

Sam is excited to be back in Ohio and closer to family. Sam serves as an American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid instructor and works on the education committee at the hospital along with other athletic trainers.
