Freeman Selected WHAC Player of the Week
Northwestern Ohio's Darius Freeman added to his incredible start to the season with his first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week award it was announced Monday.
Freeman extended his hitting streak to 17 straight games with hits in all four last week while recording multiple in three. For the week, he hit .538 (7-13) with four doubles and a home run for a 1.077 slugging percentage. Freeman also finished with three RBI and five stolen bases, matching the program record with four steals in game two at Lawrence Tech.
Freeman has recorded a hit in 25 of 27 games played this season and sits second in the WHAC with a season average of .439 and 23 stolen bases.
