UNOH Baseball Sweeps Weekly WHAC Awards

UNOH baseball swept both the weekly WHAC awards on Monday with Zach Cabell earning his second consecutive Pitcher of the Week honor and Cesar Grau earning his first Player of Week award.

Cabell earned his second complete game win in as many appearances becoming the program's first pitcher to ever earn the weekly award in consecutive weeks, this time completely shutting down his opponent. He gave up just one hit and one walk over seven innings against Culver-Stockton while striking out a career high nine batters. In his last two starts, Cabell is 2-0 and has gone 14 innings with 17 strike outs and only two walks.

Grau picked up his first award after helping his Racers go 3-1 with a strong showing on both sides of the ball. He recorded a hit in all four games with multiple in three while striking out just one time in 14 plate appearances. Grau was also perfect defensively earning 28 putouts and one assist on 29 total chances. The junior transfer highlighted the weekend with an impressive performance in a 12-4 win over No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan where he ripped his first home run and added a double to bring in three RBI.
