SPRING ARBOR, MI - UNOH (1-2) was held at bay as Spring Arbor flexed in the second half to take down the Racers 81-65.
After trailing most of the first half, UNOH cut the lead to just six 44-38 just a couple minutes into the second half. It was as close as the Racers would get, though, as the Cougars went on a 19-6 run to take their largest lead of the game at 18 and held on for the 16-point win.
UNOH was paced by Biggz Johnson (SO/Lima, Ohio) and Hunter Bode (SR/Cincinnati, Ohio) who each finished with 15 points. Johnson shot 50% from the field (4-8) and 83% from the charity stripe (5-6). Bode grabbed seven rebounds while shooting 67% from the field. Mohamad Kraidly (JR/Beirut, Lebanon) was the only other Racer in double-figures with ten points in the game.
UNOH will open WHAC play next when they host (RV) Madonna on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:30.
