LIMA, OH - UNOH (6-10, 2-6) was held at bay as #16 Indiana Tech's (14-2, 7-1) defense proved too much for the Racers to overcome in an 81-64 Warrior victory.
In the first half, UNOH trailed against the league's best defense for most of the game, taking a ten-point deficit into halftime. With a 15-4 run nine minutes into the second half, UNOH erased a 13-point lead and tied the game. The Racers could get no closer, however, as the Warriors extended their lead with a 21-6 run to clinch the 17-point victory.
Biggz Johnson (SO/Lima, Ohio) scored a game-high 21 Points while adding six assists, three rebounds and a steal. Johnson shot 60% from outside and a perfect ten for ten from the charity stripe. John Barker (SO/Lima, Ohio) was the only other Racer scoring double-figures shooting 60% from the field and while hitting both long range attempts.
As a team, UNOH hit ten three-pointers shooting 40% from outside while holding Indiana Tech to just four in the game. The Racers also made better use of their free throws chances hitting 82% while Indiana tech converted just 68%.
