Racers Sweep WHAC Players of the Week
In a first for the men's basketball program, UNOH has swept both the offensive and defensive WHAC Players of the Week it was announced on Monday. Ryan Archey picked up his first offensive award of the season and second player of the week honor of his career. Antonio King won on the defensive side for the first time after picking up the offensive award earlier this season becoming the first WHAC player to win both.
Archey and King helped lead UNOH to its first undefeated week of the season with wins over Olivet (85-80) and Concordia (74-57) fueling the Racers to victory in four of their last five outings. They have played a significant role in the team producing its best overall and conference start to the season (6-6, 3-3) since 2016.
Archey logged 27.5 points per game scoring 28 and 27, respectively, giving him three straight 20+ outings and seven this year. He shot 54% from the field and 52% from outside for the week including a 7-12 three-point performance against the Cardinals on Saturday. Archey also recorded twelve rebounds and seven assists over the two games.
King led the team with 18 rebounds, 13 defensively, on the week swiping three steals and blocking three shots. He also averaged eight points per game while dishing out seven assists on the offensive end.
