LIMA, OH - The WHAC's top scoring offense never trailed Saturday afternoon running away from Rochester Christian with a dominating second half to pick up its fifth consecutive victory, 88-69. It is the program's longest winning streak since 2015 (8) and gives UNOH it's third straight win in conference play for the first time since November of 2016.
The first half played tight but was controlled by the Racers with a slight 35-31 advantage heading into halftime. A quick 10-2 run for UNOH opened the second half and pushed the lead up to twelve and never looked back. The Warriors cut the deficit to single digits a couple of times but the Racers responded each time going up by as many as 22 points to finish off the win.
Antonio King led the game with a season high 32 points grabbing six rebounds and blocking three shots. King shot 10-15 (67%) from the field including a season best 6-8 (75%) from long range and 6-6 from the free throw line. Ryan Archey recorded his six straight 20-point performance scoring 22 on the day with five rebounds and three steals. Caleb Chapman finished with 15 points off the bench for his third straight double-digit performance going 6-6 from the charity stripe. Alex Benson chipped in a game and season high seven assists while Grant Pikkaart pulled down a season best six rebounds.
UNOH shot 43% as a team while knocking down 14 three point attempts and holding Rochester Christian to 1-15 shooting from outside. The Racers forced 16 turnovers and turned them into 22 points while giving up twelve and eight for the Warriors.
UNOH will stay home for their fourth of five straight facing (RV) Indiana Tech Wednesday, January 8.
