Racers Stall at Home Against Cleary

LIMA, OH - After a tight first half, Cleary controlled the second Saturday afternoon holding UNOH at bay and stealing an 80-71 win in The Garage.

Four points was the most that separated the two teams over the first 20 minutes as they traded leads ten times, but it was Cleary ending the half with a big three pointer that put them up 33-31 at the break. UNOH scored the first bucket of the second to tie the game for the sixth time, but it would end up being the last as the Cougars slowly pulled away and fended off a late-game comeback attempt by the Racers to hold on for the win.

Antonio King finished with a game high 21 points, his seventh 20-point performance, grabbing six boards with three assists and a block. Caleb Chapman tallied 18 off the bench, his fifth double-digit outing in the last seven games, adding six rebounds and three steals. Ryan Archey finished with ten points, five rebounds three steals, two assists and a block.

UNOH will look to rebound against Defiance in their second of four straight home games on Wednesday, January 29.
