Racers Take Loss at Madonna 96-74

LIVONIA, MI - UNOH men's basketball couldn't snap their losing skid before the Thanksgiving break falling on the road at Madonna, 96-74, Tuesday night.

The teams went back and forth early on producing seven lead changes over the first three minutes and the game stayed tight with just two points separating them with 9:03 left in the half. The Racers would go more than three minutes without a basket as the Crusaders began to pull away mounting a 15-2 run that put them up 15. UNOH got back within ten points before halftime but Madonna stayed hot and pushed it back up to 15, 45-30, at the break. That was as close as the Racers would get with the lead ballooning to as many as 34 points giving them their third straight loss to open conference play.

Antonio King led all scorers with 23 points, his fifth 20+ outing of the year, while pulling down twelve rebounds for his second double-double of the season. King shot 8-14 (57%) from the field and 7-10 from the free throw line while dishing out five assists. Ajani Washington matched his season best with 19 points off the bench knocking down 5-8 from outside and Jyheim Spencer finished with ten points and seven boards.

UNOH will be off for a week for Thanksgiving before getting back into conference play with three straight home games against Siena Heights December 3 followed by Lawrence Tech and Defiance.
