King Snares Third Straight Offensive POTW Award

For the first time in program history, a UNOH men's basketball player has earned his third weekly award in a single season as Antonio King snagged his third consecutive honor on Monday.

King has been on a tear since the start of the new year scoring no less than 23 points in all five games and leading the Racers to a 4-1 record. Last week, he reached new heights logging back-to-back 30-point performances for the first time in his career as his team entered the toughest stretch of the season. The Racers fell just short against Lourdes on Wednesday losing to the Gray Wolves 111-107 in double-overtime but King was exceptional matching his career high with 32 points while also recording his second consecutive double-double with twelve rebounds. He improved even more on Saturday and helped his Racers upset Rochester Christian 84-82 to mark back-to-back home wins over the Warriors for the first time in program history. He knocked down the game-winning triple with just four seconds remaining to give him a career high 34 points on the night while adding seven rebounds in the game.

It is the fourth career offensive award for King and his fifth overall weekly honor tying him for the program's most all-time (Lawrence Jackson).
