Men's Bowling: Racers Win OBC #1

COLUMBUS, OH - UNOH Men's Bowling opened their season with a tournament championship at the Ohio Bowling Conference #1 on Saturday, October 2. As a team, the Racers bowled 944-943-961-1042 over four rounds for a total of 3890. UNOH scored 3419 on the Baker side for a tournament total of 7309, which was 289 pins better than second place Muskingum University (7020).

UNOH junior varsity also took the top spot on their side in a field of eleven teams.. The JV Racers bowled 888-925-934-946 for a team total of 3693. In the Baker format, UNOH bowled 2881 for a tournament total of 6574 which was 176 pins better than second place Walsh University JV (6398).

Devin Flowers (SO/Rosedale, New York) led the Racers individually, finishing first in the field of 146 bowlers. Flowers averaged 211.3 (244-194-189-218) and his round one 244 was the second highest round bowled in the tournament. Nick Manning (FR/Marion, Ohio) bowled for the UNOH JV team and finished second overall with an average of 208.8 (209-176-235-215). Flowers and Manning were two of only three bowlers who bowled all four rounds to average above 200 in the tournament.

Gunner Kruse (JR/St. Mary's, Ohio) also earned a top ten individual finish bowling 177-194-189-215 (193.8 avg).
