UNOH Wins St. Andrews to Wrap Up Fall Season

WAGRAM, N.C. - In the final event of the fall, UNOH men's golf picked up their second team victory of the season topping the 14-team field by ten strokes at the St. Andrews Fall Classic. The Racers shot 288, 287, 301 to hold off a furious comeback from SCAD Atlanta in the final round finishing with a 876 (+12).

Luke Turner and Jose Vargas led the team tying for the tournament's top spot after three rounds. Turner carded rounds of 70, 70 and 75 and Vargas shot 71, 69, 75 with both finishing 1-under at 215. The individual medalist was decided by a scorecard playoff with Turner winning on the second tie breaker criteria. Guillermo Garron and Oliver Rogers both picked up top ten results in a tie for seventh and ninth, respectively. Garron hit 71, 77, 75 for a 223 (+7) with Rogers one stroke back after rounds of 76, 71 and 77.

Oscar Lind rounded out the team scoring with a 235 shooting 81, 78, 76. Adrian Martin and Luke S. Turner both competed as individuals in the event with Martin tying with teammate Lind at 235 and Turner finishing at 248.
