Garron Claims WHAC Golfer of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has voted Northwestern Ohio's Guillermo Garron the Men's Golfer of the Week after opening the spring with a third-place finish in Georgia.

Garron picked up his fourth top five in six events going back to the fall with a team best 224 at the UNOH Southern Kickoff last week. He sat on top of the field after the first two rounds with a 1-over 145 after shooting a 1-under 71 and 2-over 74. Garron fought through tough conditions on day two to score a 79 and land in a three-way tie for third in a field of 53 golfers.

It is the first weekly honor of the season for the Bolivian senior and the second of his career.
