UNOH Motorsports Team Closes Out June
Drivers Finish Second Month of the Season with Top Ten Fin
LIMA, Ohio (June 27, 2025) The UNOH Motorsports Team raced two UMP Modifieds and three Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks at "Late Model Mania" night at Limaland this past Friday, June 27. Racing the Modifieds for UNOH on Friday were Aidan Hinds in the No. 01 and Dylan Drake in the No. 11. Houston Null, Tyler Matheny and Eric Kinney drove the No. 1, No. 01 and No. 00 Thunderstocks again this weekend.
In group qualifying for the stock cars, the three UNOH stock drivers put up solid lap times, with Tyler Matheny qualifying 11th, Eric Kinney eighth, and Houston Null second. In the UMP Modifieds, Dylan Drake qualified 11th quick and Aidan Hinds was eighth quick in their qualifying session.
In the first Thunderstock heats, Tyler Matheny in the No. 01 stock started 6th, rallying to finish sixth after falling back to seventh early. Eric Kinney and Houston Null raced in the second stock Heat, with Kinney starting on the pole and Null starting fourth. The No. 00 of Kinney had a strong start and secured a comfortable lead coming out of turn two. Null battled hard in the back of the pack and after a lap two caution, Kinney rocketed ahead on the restart and won the heat by 4.7 seconds. Further back in the pack, Null in the No. 1 battled with fierce competitors and ended up finishing second, securing a one-two finish for UNOH in heat two.
Dylan Drake in the No. 11 started sixth in the first UMP Modified heat race and after battling early with the 9PG car, he gained a position for a fifth-place finish. Aidan Hinds started on the outside pole in heat 2. After a fantastic start, the No. 01 Modified secured a comfortable lead and won the heat race by .7 seconds.
The Thunderstocks raced their Feature race first. Houston Null started third, Eric Kinney started fifth, and Tyler Matheny started 11th in a race packed with action and technical track conditions. The No. 1 of Null came away with a fourth-place finish, Kinney in the No. 00 finished sixth, and Tyler Matheny brought home a 10th-place finish.
In the Modified Feature, Aidan Hinds started on the pole and Dylan Drake started 13th, after battling hard for the lead Hinds brought home a fourth-place finish in the No. 01 and Drake finished 14th in the No. 11.
The UNOH Motorsports Team will run its next races on Friday, July 4th for Firecracker Friday.
