LIMA, OH - After drawing their first two WHAC matches, UNOH men's soccer earned a much-needed win with a 2-0 shutout over UM-Dearborn.
Both Racer goals came in the first half and by the same player. It was a day for Jovaunn Ramos bagging his second and third of the season. The first of the match came in the 26th minute with a perfect short cross from Tomas Ulla that Ramos headed past the keeper. The second came right before halftime with another ball from Ulla that was deflected with a backheal by Corey Brouard and finished strong by Ramos.
Attacks and shots continued for UNOH through the final 45 minutes but a third goal wasn't in the cards. The Racers racked up a season high 25 shots, putting seven on goal, while holding the Wolverines to just seven total shots and only one on goal, matching their season low.
Georgios Theodoulides (2-3-2) was only needed once during his 90 minutes, making full extension, diving save to preserve the clean sheet, his second of the season.
UNOH will stay home to take on Indiana Tech their next time out on Wednesday, October 4, at 4:00 PM.
