LIMA, OH - UNOH men's soccer earned a positive result Wednesday against the No. 17 Indiana Tech Warriors splitting four goals evenly in a 2-2 draw.
Indiana Tech struck first in the 23rd minute but the Racers responded in the 40th to even the match. Reece Benjamin crossed a ball from the right but it went through the box and back out the other side. Aimar Lezana was there and gathered the ball before playing it on the ground back into the box. With the keeper out of position, Ryan Hennesy finished first time and tied the match at 1-1 before halftime.
It was UNOH hitting first in the second half as Ognjen Stanic linking with Natxo Sanchez from midfield. Sanchez played a quick pass to Josh Pearson who blasted it across the keeper and into the opposite top corner for a 2-1 lead. With just over two minutes left to play, the Warriors found a way to stay unbeaten in the league snagging an 88th minute goal to save a 2-2 draw.
The Warriors outshot UNOH 17-6 putting nine on goal to just three for the Racers.
Alexandre Torres started the match in front of goal but was forced out due to injury in the 28th minute. Jack Cook (2-2-2) took over the keeper duties and earned the decision with six saves over 63 minutes of play.
UNOH will play their final home match of the season on Saturday as part of a doubleheader with the women's team against Lawrence Tech at 3:00 PM
