UNOH Men's Soccer Releases 2025 Match Slate
LIMA, OH - Northwestern Ohio men's soccer has announced their full schedule of matches for the upcoming 2025 season that will highlight five first time matchups and six teams that made the 2024 NAIA First and Second Rounds. The Racers will play 18 total matches this year with ten at home and eight on the road.
The season will begin with four straight home games as part of two different showcase events that will bring six different teams to Racer Stadium over the first two weekends. The campaign will start with the UNOH Soccer Showcase on August 22 and 24 with the Racers taking on Carroll for the first time ever at 1:00 PM followed by Aquinas and Governors State at 3:30 PM. The teams will rotate for Sunday, August 24 with UNOH taking on Governors State at 1:00 PM followed by Carroll and Aquinas at 3:30 PM.
After six days off, the Racers get back into action with the UNOH Labor Day Classic that will take place August 30 and September 1. The University of the Cumberlands enters Racer Stadium to take on Westcliff at 1:00 PM to start the weekend with UNOH squaring off against Marian in a first-time meeting at 4:00 PM. The event concludes on Labor Day with the Racers taking on another first ever matchup, this time against Westcliff at 11:00 AM, followed by Cumberlands and Governors State at 1:30 PM.
A brief trip to Illinois will see the Racers take on Trinity Christian with the two meeting for the first time ever on September 6 before returning home for a final first-time matchup against Missouri Baptist on September 10. The last non-conference showdown of the year will be on the road against Spring Arbor on September 17. The Cougars made it to the final site of the 2024 NAIA National Championship last season and will host the Racers for the first time since 2013.
The start of the WHAC schedule will take UNOH to Dearborn, Mich. to face the Wolverines of UM-Dearborn on September 20 before returning home for back-to-back matches against Cleary and Aquinas. Two road games and two home games follow before the longest road trip of the season opens against last year's Regular Season Champion Madonna on October 15. Rochester Christian will also host the Racers on October 18 with the three-game away stretch culmulating against six-time defending WHAC Tournament Champion Indiana Tech October 22. The regular season will conclude at home versus Lawrence Tech on October 25.
WHAC Tournament play is scheduled to begin with the Quartefinals on Saturday, November 1 with the top eight teams qualifying and higher-seeded teams hosting throughout. The Semifinals are slated for Saturday, November 8 with the Championship match set to be played Wednesday, November 12.
In conjunction with the varsity schedule, UNOH men's soccer also released the full schedule of games for the 2025 Development Team that will consist of 18 total matches split nine and nine with home and away matches.
