Hashimoto Earns First WHAC Offensive Player of the Week Award
After netting five goals in two matches last week, Northwestern Ohio's Eguzki Hashimoto has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 21.
Hashimoto scored the first goal of a 3-2 win at No. 24 Spring Arbor on Wednesday but did most of his work in the WHAC opener at UM-Dearborn on Saturday. He became the first men's player ever to score more than three goals in a single game after recording four of his team's nine in their 9-2 win over the Wolverines. Hashimoto also became just the fifth player between both the men's and women's program's combined to net four times and the first since 2021.
It took just seven shots for Hashimoto to notch his five goals including a perfect 4-4 against UMD.
