Men's Soccer Sweeps WHAC Awards Again

For the second time this fall, and just the third time in program history, UNOH men's soccer has swept the weekly WHAC awards with Leonard K.Assouan earning the offensive honor and Reece Benjamin winning the defensive side. The duo led UNOH to two more shutout victories last week to take over sole possession of first place in the conference at 7-0. It is the first career weekly award for both players.

Against Lourdes, Assouan's 77th minute goal was his first of the season and proved to be the game winner in a critical 1-0 victory over the Gray Wolves. He added two more against Siena Heights for his first career brace while also assisting once as the Racers rolled through Siena Heights, 6-0.

From his right back position, Benjamin helped UNOH to their sixth and seventh shutouts of the year allowing just two total shots on goal over 180 minutes. He also assisted twice against Siena Heights giving him four this season. The sophomore has started in all 14 games this fall leading his back line to an average of just 3.4 shots on goal per game overall and only 2.0 per game in conference play.
