FORT WAYNE, IN - UNOH played No. 16 Indiana Tech tough in the first half, but the Warriors bagged three second half goals to down the Racers 4-1 Wednesday afternoon.
The Racers held Indiana Tech off the board for most of the first half but a late goal in the 37th minute put them on top 1-0 at halftime. The Warriors carried that momentum into the second half needing just twelve minutes to net three more times and blow the game open. Natxo Sanchez managed to get UNOH on the board with just a few minutes remaining to spoil the clean sheet, but Indiana Tech owned the day winning 4-1.
With one match remaining, the Racers now sit tied for third place in the WHAC with Lawrence Tech who they will host for Senior Day on Saturday. While not mathematically eliminated, UNOH will need help now to swipe a piece of the conference title. A win combined with a loss by Madonna and a tie or loss by Indiana Tech is the Racers' only path to a share of the regular season championship.
