Bio
Mark McMillan is a highly experienced coach and former goalkeeper originally from Glasgow, Scotland. He began his playing career in the Partick Thistle Youth Academy before moving on to play semi-professionally for Clyde FC. His journey then brought him to the United States, where he made a major impact as a student-athlete at the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH).
During his collegiate career at UNOH, Mark appeared in 73 matches, starting 71 of them and accumulated over 6,300 minutes in goal. His leadership and consistency helped lead the Racers to both a WHAC Conference regular season title and a WHAC Tournament championship. Individually, he earned WHAC First and Second Team All-Conference honors. Mark ranks among the program’s all-time best, tied for second in goals-against average and standing second in career saves, shutouts, and wins.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Sports Marketing and Management from UNOH, Mark continued his academic and coaching journey at the University of Rio Grande. There, he served as a Graduate Assistant and helped guide the program to two River States Conference titles, two tournament championships, and a Final Four appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. He completed his Master of Education in Athletic Coaching and Leadership during his time at Rio.
In addition to his playing and coaching credentials, Mark holds a USSF Level One Goalkeeping Qualification, as well as 9v9 and 11v11 Grassroots Licenses. His blend of international experience, proven performance, and coaching education make him a standout contributor in player development and program success.
