Mullenax Named WHAC Pitcher of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced that Northwestern Ohio's Jaylyn Mullenax picked up her first Pitcher of the Week award for the week ending March 12.
Mullenax appeared four times during the week logging 18 innings of work for a 3-0 record and a 1.17 ERA. She gave up 18 hits in her four games but allowed just three earned runs while striking out 16 batters. Mullenax earned the decision in a 5-0 combined shutout win over Judson and a 9-8 win against (RV) Bellevue while recording her first complete game shutout in an 8-0 win over Carlow to wrap up the week.
Opponents are batting just .297 against Mullenax this season and she holds a 3.50 ERA early in her freshman campaign.
Mullenax joins teammate Anna Ankney to sweep the WHAC Softball weekly honors for the first time since 2018.
