Hanes Picks Up WHAC Pitcher of the Week Award

Carlie Hanes was voted as the WHAC Pitcher of the Week for the Week ending April 9, her first of the season and third of her career.

Hanes made three appearances to help boost her Racers to a 4-0 mark for the week. She tossed two complete games, picking up shutout wins in both, and helped finish off the final inning and a third of a 16-9 win over Cleary. Hanes didn't allow a single run over 13.1 innings of work while scattering just five hits all week. Her five shutouts this season give her 16 in her career, the program's most all-time.

Batters are hitting just .236 against Hanes this season and her ERA has fallen to 1.99.
