Seven Racers Land All-Conference Honors, Eleven All-Academic

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the softball all-conference honors for the 2024 season. Northwestern Ohio had seven players land on first and second team with eleven earning All-Academic honors, both program bests.

 

Carlie Hanes and Zoe Johnson were both named First Team All-WHAC for the third time in their careers. Anna Ankney earned her second straight first team honor with Dani Keighley picking up her first after being named second team the last two seasons.

Tess Denning earned second team honors for the second time while Alexis D'Alexander and Karsyn McGlothen both landed their first second team award. 

 

UNOH was also well represented on the WHAC All-Academic Team with a program record eleven players earning the award. Payton Albright, Anna Ankney, Kiya Benschoter, Tess Denning, Dani Keighley Sydney Shaffer, Sidney Unger, Lillie Booher and Amber Shayler were all first timers on the the list. Alexis D'Alexander made the team for the second time and Zoe Johnson picked up her third academic honor of her career, also being named as the team's representative on the Champions of Character Team.
