Keighley Earns WHAC Player of the Week Honor

Northwestern Ohio's Dani Keighley was awarded the WHAC Softball Player of the Week honor on Monday after her powerful offensive performance last week.

Keighley has been a pitcher's nightmare the last two weeks and extended her team best hitting streak to 13 games after recording at least one in each of the team's six games with multiple hits in nine of those 13. She drove in at least two RBI in each of the games and now has multiple RBI in seven straight. 

For the week, Keighley hit .579 going 11-19 at the dish hitting four home runs and four doubles for a 1.421 slugging percentage. She drove in an incredible 18 runs over six games adding to her career RBI record and setting a new single season mark with 58 this year.

It is the first weekly of award of the season for Keighley and the third of her career.
