Six Racers Highlight WHAC Softball Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the 2025 Softball Honors with six different Racers earning eight all-conference awards. UNOH also landed eight players on the All-Academic Team with five earning the honor for the second time.
Three Racers landed on the All-WHAC First Team led by Anna Ankney who picked up the third of her career. Ankney also earned All-Defensive Team honors for the first time becoming the program's first shortstop to earn the award since 2018. Dani Keighley was named to the First Team for the second time in her career while also becoming the program's first ever to get All-Defensive Team honors at Third Base. Lanie Wooten capped her impressive freshman campaign with First Team All-WHAC honors.
Tess Denning landed on the Second Team for the third straight season joined by first timers Sydney Shaffer and Brenna Cobb.
Academically, Denning, Shaffer, Keighley, Ankney and Sidney Unger all earned their Second All-Academic award with Holly Alvoid, Hailee Edgell and Sydney Feenstra joining them for the first time.
Unger was named as the team's representative on the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
