Freshman Vokes Wins WHAC Player of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced Monday that Northwestern Ohio's Susan Vokes has been awarded the WHAC Player of the Week after a perfect weekend in Kentucky.

The Racers picked up wins over Johnson, 7-5, and Georgetown, 14-6, on Saturday during which Vokes was a perfect 5-5 at the dish. The Racer freshman recorded four of her five hits against the Tigers where she also scored once and drove in three of her four RBI.

Vokes becomes just the second freshman in program history to snag the weekly player award (Joey Brinegar - 2017) and just the fifth to win any weekly honor.
