LIMA, OH - UNOH (12-12, 7-10) never saw the lead as Lawrence Tech ( 11-14, 8-9) controlled from wire-to-wire and took down the Racers 75-61.
The Blue devils came out hot outscoring the Racers 49-27 in the first two quarters. Lawrence Tech shot 63% from the field and a blistering 55% from outside.
The Racers made one final push in the third, using an 18-4 run to cut the Blue Devil lead down to ten, 57-47. The teams stay even in the final quarter and UNOH couldn't overcome the double-digit deficit.
Alysia Lawson (FR/Toledo, Ohio) led the Racers with 15 points collecting three rebounds and two assists. Kalea Kruser (SR/Madison, Wisconsin), Jada Haines (SR/Akron, Ohio) and Trinity Black-Raines (JR/Beecher, Michigan) all finished in double figures adding a combined 34 points. Haines recorded three assists, two boards and one steal. Kruser and Mar Marata Crespo (SR/Girona, Spain) shared a team-high seven rebounds each
UNOH forced 21 turnovers in the game converted into 17 points compared to eight and seven for Lawrence Tech. The Racers also hit a season high 90% from the charity stripe to just 46% for the Blue Devils.
