Blue Devils Overtake Racers 72-66

LIMA, OH - A tight game in The Garage saw Lawrence Tech overcome UNOH in the fourth quarter to steal the win, 72-66.

UNOH only trailed for 22 seconds in the first quarter as they led 17-11 heading into the second. After the Blue Devils pulled the game tight again, things bounced back and forth until Lawrence Tech hit a massive three-point dagger just before half that put them up 31-30. Momentum continued to shift in the third and UNOH used a 11-0 run late in the frame to retake the lead heading into the final quarter, 51-50. The trends continued into the fourth landing on the side of a 13-2 Blue Devil run to go up seven with just over four minutes to play. After the Racers cut the lead to three just over a minute later, Lawrence Tech hit five of six free throw attempts down the stretch to hold on for the win.

Alysia Lawson was the game's leading scorer finishing with 26 points. Olivia Thompson was the only other Racer in double-figures scoring 18 with a career high nine of 13 free throws. Alayha Allen was strong again on the glass grabbing 16 boards with a season high nine offensive rebounds. She also blocked four shots finishing just one point short of a double-double.

The Racers will wrap up a three-game home stand against Aquinas (10-14, 7-11) on Wednesday, February 14.
