The Wolverine-Hoosier Conference (WHAC) has released the 2023-24 Women's Basketball Honors. Alysia Lawson and Olivia Thompson highlight the all-conference teams for UNOH with two landing on the All-Academic Team.
Alysia Lawson earned first team honors for the first time in her short career after one of the top scoring seasons in the history of UNOH basketball. Lawson set a new single season record averaging 22.7 points per game, the most ever for both the men's and the women's programs, but fell short of the season season scoring title by ten points. She also topped the single game record for both men and women with 43 points against Madonna. After just finishing up her sophomore season, Lawson already sits fifth all-time in career points with 996.
Olivia Thompson picked up All-Freshman Team honors after averaging ten points per game in her debut campaign. She knocked down 35 three-point attempts this season while pulling down 89 rebounds with 45 assists, 33 steals and nine blocked shots. Thompson was also the UNOH representative on the Champions of Character Team for her hard work and dedication this year.
Ana Montero Sanz and Marta Gateva were both named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for the first time in their careers.
