Lawson Earns WHAC Offensive POTW Honor

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced Monday that Northwestern Ohio's Alysia Lawson has been named the women's basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 3.

Lawson helped lead her team to a 2-0 start for just the third time in program history with an 89-88 win over Ohio Christian and an 86-61 victory over IU-East. Lawson became just the fifth Racer to surpass the 1,000-point plateau scoring 29 in each game and playing 77 of 80 minutes last week. She shot 49% from the field hitting 24 of 49 attempts while grabbing nine rebounds, assisting five times and bagging five steals.

It is Lawson's first offensive award (WHAC split offensive and defensive awards in 2024-25) and her fifth POTW honor of her career.
