Lawson Wins Third Player of the Week Award

After already earning more player of the week awards than any other Racer in program history, Northwestern Ohio's Alysia Lawson added one more to her career resume it was announced on Monday by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).

Lawson took over the nation's top spot in total points scored with 248 after averaging 28 points per game last week. After scoring 25 in just 23 minutes against UC-Clermont, Lawson rattled off her third 30+ point outing of the season with 31 at Defiance. She shot 43% from the field that night including a career high 12-13 shooting from the free throw line. Lawson is averaging 27.6 points per game this season which puts her second in the country.

It is Lawson's third Offensive Player of the Week award this season and a program best seventh player of the week award of her career.
