Alysia Lawson Snags Her Fourth POTW Honor

UNOH junior guard, Alysia Lawson, has earned her fourth Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Offensive Player of the Week, matching her own program record set last season.

The nation's second leading scorer continued her historic start to the season averaging 30.5 points per game while helping her Racers to another undefeated week and a perfect 5-0 start in WHAC play, the best start in program history.

Lawson put up 28 points in an 84-73 win at Cleary on Wednesday before dropping 33 against UM-Dearborn, her fourth 30+ outing of the year and ninth of her career, as the team rolled to an 87-72 win. For the week, Lawson shot 51% from the field and 47% from outside playing 79 of of the team's 80 minutes while hitting 15 of 16 free throw attempts (94%).

She is second in the country in both total points (323) and points per game (26.9) and sits ninth overall in three-point field goals made (32).

It is the eighth career player of the week award for Lawson.
