Lawson Makes History with Seventh WHAC POTW Award

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has awarded Northwestern Ohio's Alysia Lawson her third straight Offensive Player of the Week honor. It is Lawon's seventh POTW of the year setting a new single season conference record that tops the previous mark of six that has stood since the 1994-95 season (Nikki Tuttle - Aquinas). It is the eleventh weekly award of her career putting her third all-time in the history of the WHAC.

Lawson posted her fifth 30-point performance of the season against Defiance and followed up with 27 more against Aquinas to average 29.5 points per game for the week. She shot 50% from the field hitting 23 of 46 attempts while shooting 83% from the free throw line. Lawson also added nine steals in the two games with six rebounds, two assists and a block.

Lawson continues to lead the conference in total points and points per game this season and sits second in the country with a 25.8 average.
