UNOH Throttles Defiance in Final Home Game of 2025

LIMA, OH - UNOH women's basketball jumped out early against Defiance on Saturday and never looked back rolling to a 95-47 victory.

The Racers opened a quick 19-5 lead and outscored the Yellow Jackets 29-10 in the first quarter setting the stage for what would be a comfortable night. UNOH stayed locked in on both ends holding Defiance to no more than 13 points in any of the following quarters while putting 22 of their own in each. 

All five starters hit double-figures led again by Alysia Lawson who notched her 14th career 30+ performance. Her 31 points were a game high adding six assists, four steals and three rebounds to her line. Olivia Thompson matched her season high with 19 points while pulling down ten rebounds for her second double-double in three games. Sanaiiya Gray earned a double-double as well, her second of the season, scoring ten with 13 boards. Gray also blocked three shots in the game giving her 33 this season, fourth best in the country. Kayla Larimore and Morgyn Rose contributed off the bench for the Racers with Larimore grabbing a career high twelve rebounds and Rose putting up a season high seven points.

UNOH will end 2025 on the road with a final conference game at Aquinas on Wednesday, December 17 before a 16-day break. The Racers get back to work January 3 with a second trip to Grand Rapids to take on Cornerstone.
