WHAC Awards Binyahya Her Eighth Golfer of the Week Honor

After her record setting performance at the LTU Shootout at Stonehedge, Northwestern Ohio's Sharifah Binyahya has been awarded her eighth Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Golfer of the Week Honor matching the conference's all-time single season record.

Binyahya will enter the WHAC Championship next week on the heals of the best tournament performance in the history of the program. After carding a 4-over 76 in round one, Binyahya finished with a 5-under 67 setting a new 18-hole record in both strokes and under par. The two rounds added up to a 1-under 143 total making her the first player in program history to shoot under par in any tournament of more than one round. Binyahya took the individual medal for the fifth time in eight events this season taking the top spot by eight strokes and lifting her team to it's first tournament championship this season.
