UNOH Finishes Sixth at NCAA DII Event

LIMA, OH - UNOH women's golf competed at home Friday but in a field consisting of six different NCAA Division II programs to earn a sixth-place finish. The Racers shot rounds of 329 and 328 for a team score of 657, led again by sophomore Kudzai Mandava.

Mandava posted a strong 2-over 74 in round one and sat in the top five, but she had a hard time finding that rhythm again in round two carding an 82 for a final tally of 156 (+12) and falling into a tie for 18th. Molly Douglas did the reverse correcting a first round 85 into a second round 78 to finish the day with a 163 (+19).

Kayla Watkins and Luise Pekoll followed with scores of 168 and 170, respectively, with Riley Daeger rounding out the team scoring with a 187, the lowest 36-hole result of her career.

UNOH will now head to Yorktown, Indiana to take on The Players Club at Woodland Trails for the LTU Spring Shootout on Monday, April 13.
