Douglas Claims First Golfer of the Week Award

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has named Northwestern Ohio's Molly Douglas the women's Golfer of the Week after she finished on top of the LTU Spring Shootout last week.

Against 51 golfers and six conference opponents, Douglas claimed the second individual medal of her freshman campaign thanks to a career best 54-hole result with rounds of 75, 76 and 73. It wasn't a straight path to the title for the Gloucester, England native who sat third after round one needing some inspiration to close the gap.

She continued as the most consistent golfer over the three rounds, however, jumping into the lead by the conclusion of day one. Douglas carried that momentum into the final 18 using her lowest round of the season to pull away from the field by nine strokes.
