Douglas Wins Final Golfer of the Week Award
The final WHAC Women's Golfer of the Week award has been given to UNOH freshman Molly Douglas for the second time in three weeks.
Douglas topped the field at the WHAC Women's Championship last week helping her team edge past (RV) Lawrence Tech for the program's seventh conference title in the last nine years. The Gloucester, England native led wire-to-wire for the Racers carding rounds of 75, 77 and 76. She became the seventh UNOH player in the last ten seasons to win the individual medal at the spring conference event earning WHAC Newcomer of the Year and All-WHAC First Team honors.
It was the third first-place finish for Douglas in her freshman campaign and her second in as many tournaments to end the spring half of the season. It also marked her fourth top five and seventh top ten in eight events this year and well send her into the NAIA Women's National Championship as the team leader with a 78.15 average.
