Racers Reach Third Straight Semifinal
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The University of Northwestern Ohio women's soccer team met the Columbia College (Mo.) Cougars in the 2016 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Quarterfinal Round on Wednesday as the Racers sought their third straight appearance in the semifinals.
It did not take long for UNOH (21-2-1) to take the lead as Robyn Moodaly scored from deep via Klara Cahynova 31 seconds after the opening whistle. The Racers went on to win the contest 3-0 over the Cougars (19-2-3).
Then in the 26th minute, Camilla Andersen became the leading scorer in the NAIA this season with her 34th goal of the year on an unassisted attempt. She then added a second goal at the 52-minute mark from a Robyn Moodaly assists. She now leads the nation with 35 goals and 77 points.
Nadine Stonjek recorded a pair of saves as she was credited with the shutout victory. The Racer defense allowed just four shots all game while the attack posted 16 with 11 on target.
UNOH has scored multiple goals in all but two contests this season.
The Racers' semifinal opponent will be Northwest University (Wash.) after the unseeded Eagles defeated No. 14 Reinhardt 4-1. The game is scheduled Saturday, Dec. 2 with a 2:30 PM CST kickoff at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
In the other semifinal game on Saturday, No. 13 Baker University will look to dethrone the defending champion and top-ranked Spring Arbor University.

UPDATE: The NAIA submitted a statistic change after reviewing the game film. UNOH's second goal which was originally credited to Camilla Andersen was changed to an own goal. Her one goal tied her for the lead in the NAIA.
