Queralt Named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, MO - After picking up her first career conference player of the week award on Monday, Mireia Queralt was named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Over 180 minutes of work in front of goal last week, Queralt made eight saves and earned two clean sheets. Her five-save performance against No. 4 Aquinas was her third consecutive shutout and fourth of the season. The 0-0 draw gave the program it's first result against a national top-five team since 2019.
Queralt is 4-1-2 this season with a .759 save percentage, becoming the first Racer to win a national Defensive Player of the Week since 2017 (Romane Salvador), and just the third in program history.
