Keck Named WHAC Defensive Player of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has named Northwestern Ohio's Celia Catalan Keck the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after playing an instrumental role in two big victories last week.

Keck scored the first goal of the day against Lourdes before assisting on the game winner in the 76th minute giving UNOH a 2-1 victory over the last remaining unbeaten in the WHAC. She assisted again on the first goal against Siena Heights which turned out to be another game winner as the Racers blanked the Saints 3-0.

From her right back position, Keck has appeared in all 13 games this season, starting in 10, earning eight clean sheets. Her back line is allowing just 2.96 shots on goal per game overall and just 2.43 per game in conference play. 

Keck has now scored or assisted nine times in seven WHAC matches and currently leads the conference with eight assists. It is her first career Player of the Week award.
