MOBILE, AL - UNOH women's tennis saw their season come to an end with a 4-3 loss to No. 12 St. Thomas in the opening round of the NAIA National Championship.
The Racers lost the first point of the match giving up number one and three doubles 6-3 and 6-4, respectively. They made a push in the singles matchups winning points on courts three, four and five but lost on one, two and six.
Doubles saw Agathe Vaillant and Alizee Ripolles fall 3-6 on court one and Jelena Lopicic and Neo Mafuyeka losing court three 4-6. Ana Cetina and Munisa Ashurbekova went unfinished on court two tied at 4-4.
Munisa Ashurbekova won number three singles 6-0, 2-6, 6-0 with Ana Cetina taking number four 6-0, 6-3 and Agathe Vaillant winning number five 6-4, 6-3. Alizee Ripolles lost court one 3-6, 4-6 and Neo Mafuyeka fell on court six 4-6, 6-7. Jelena Lopicic put up a fight on number two but narrowly lost the deciding point 6-7, 6-7.
