Binyahya Awarded Mercy Health Athlete of the Month

LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt from Cappy's Sportswear and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.

The September Mercy Health Athlete of the Month award has been given to Sharifah Binyahya of the women's golf program. Binyahya played in four events during the month winning the individual medal in all four and bagging four WHAC Golfer of the Week awards for those efforts. She is shooting a remarkable 73.33 this season with three of nine rounds played under par including matching the program's lowest round with a 68 (-4) at the UNOH Fall Invitational and a 69 (-2) at Stonehenge.
