Men's Basketball: Gray Wolves Hold Off Racers

SYLVANIA, OH – UNOH (10-16, 6-12) jumped out early but Lourdes (20-6, 14-4) quickly took control to pull out the 78-68 victory.

The game was tight for the first ten minutes before Lourdes hit a 12-0 run to take the game's largest lead at 14 with four minutes left before halftime. After leading by nine at the break, the Gray Wolves hit a three-pointer to start the second half and led by twelve. The Racers wouldn't go away, though, and rattled off a 16-5 run to make it a one-point game, 47-46, with 15 minutes to play. Lourdes wasn't phased and answered with a 12-2 run of their own, taking back control and pulling away for the ten-point win.

Hunter Bode (SR/Cincinnati, Ohio) led the team with 17 points while shooting 7-13 (54%) from the field and chipping in four rebounds. Biggz Johnson and John Barker (SO/Lima, Ohio) were the only other Racers scoring double- figures. Johnson added twelve points while collecting three rebounds and two assists. Barker added ten points shooting 60% from the field and recorded a career high six assists. Cedric Delancy Jr. finished with a team-high six rebounds in the game.
