LANSING, MI - The UNOH defense held Cleary to just 23 points in the first half as the Racers completed the season sweep with an 82-64 win over the Cougars.
An early 12-1 run for Cleary gave them their largest, and only, lead of the game at 12-6 but UNOH took just three minutes to erase the deficit and take control. From those three minutes forward, the Racers outscored the Cougars 29-11 to go up by twelve at halftime. Both offenses found some momentum in the second half with both putting up more than 40, but the lead never went below ten as expanded high as 22 as UNOH cruised to an 82-64 win.
Kahlil Davis put up a game high 20 points hitting eight of eleven shots from the field with four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Ryan Archey added eleven and Cedric Delancy, Jr. chipped in ten. Marquis Freeman finished one point and one rebound short of a double-double going nine and nine off the bench. Freeman also racked up six blocked shots, tying the program's second most in a single game.
As a team, UNOH shot 45% from the field and 33% from outside while blocking a total of eleven shots in the game, the program's second most all-time (13).
The Racers enter tough two-game stretch that will see (RV) Madonna (16-4, 12-2) visit The Garage on Wednesday, January 31 before taking a trip up I-75 to face No. 10 Lourdes (17-1, 13-1) on Saturday.
