LIMA, OH - After gutting out a five-point halftime lead, UNOH was outscored by ten in the second falling at home to UM-Dearborn, 91-86.
It was a game of momentum swings as the Wolverines struck first taking a 19-10 lead early in the first half. The Racers cut the lead to three but UM-Dearborn pushed it right back up to nine. As momentum shifted again, UNOH put together a massive 17-2 run that put them up six and they held that cushion into halftime. The Wolverines fought back to take a 52-51 lead and the game tightened up for the next three minutes. The lead solidified with 13:17 left to play as UM-Dearborn held a two-possession lead most of the way to grab the win in The Garage.
Ryan Archey matched his season high with 26 points shooting 11-18 (61%) from the field. Jayden Sims logged 19 points off the bench in just his second appearance of the season with Antonio King adding eleven.
As a team, UNOH outshot UM-Dearborn 48% to 41% but were crushed on the boards 49-34 giving up 20 points off turnovers.
The Racers will play a solo non-conference bout against NCAA Division III Olivet on Tuesday, December 10 before getting back into conference against Concordia next Saturday.
