2025-26 Men's Basketball Season Recap
LIMA, OH - UNOH men's basketball wrapped up the third year of the Westerlund Era with a 9-19 overall record going 7-15 in conference play. Combined with their 15 wins a year ago, the Racers logged the program's best two year stretch since the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
The 2025-26 Racers averaged 77.7 points per game putting them second all-time behind only last year's team (86.2) while holding opponents to 44.6% shooting, the program's best since 2015-16. The team's first win of the season came in overtime at Goshen College where UNOH tallied 112 points marking the program's third highest total and most in a game since 2013 when the record was set (117). On January 3, 2026, UNOH recorded one of the most historic wins in program history defeating Cornerstone 78-68 at Mol Arena in Grand Rapids for the first time ever after going 0-17 in the previous 19 seasons.
UNOH also hit a new milestone with 20 steals against Cleary in February toppling the program's previous record of 19 that stood since January 18, 2014. Their 16 made three-pointers against Bryant & Stratton-Ohio was the program's most since 2018 and their 57 total rebounds versus Wright State-Lake marked the most in a game since November 10, 2018.
Senior Antonio King highlighted his senior campaign as the team's leading scorer averaging 19.4 points per game logging 25 games with 20 or more points in his two-year career at UNOH while going over 30 six times with five of those coming this season. He averaged 7.3 rebounds per game in the 2025-26 campaign, the program's best since 2010-11, and 6.9 per game for his career, the second most all-time. His efforts resulted in his second All-WHAC First Team honor making him just the third Racer in 19 seasons to pick up more than one first team mention and the first since 2017 (Lawrence Jackson - 3x).
