Men's Golf Climbs into NAIA Top 25
KANSAS CITY, MO - For the first time since 2019, UNOH men's golf has cracked the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll released Thursday, October 17.
After receiving votes in the preseason poll, the Racers have jumped to No. 18 in the country with 208 points in the first poll of the regular season. It's the first top 25 ranking the program since sitting seventh in the 2019-20 preseason poll and first regular season ranking since May 9, 2019.
UNOH has finished no worse than fourth in their six events this fall with two team titles (WHAC Fall Preview, St. Andrews Fall Classic) and two runner-up finishes (UNOH Fall Invitational, Players Club Invitational). Luke Turner and Guillermo Garron have both earned individual medals with the team putting players in the top five ten times and top ten 16 times. Jose Vargas leads the team but half a stroke this fall averaging 72.43 and Luke Turner is right behind at 72.88.
